I saw on numerous websites that Babies are Us has โ€œfreeโ€ shipping on orders over $29. That is total BS! They do have a listing for free shipping however they then want to charge me $124 as a โ€œShipping Surchargeโ€. What crap - either something has free shipping or not. This is a typical โ€œBait and Switchโ€ operation where people buy online without even realizing the exhobotent surcharge that these jokers added. To add insult to injury, you canโ€™t even buy this item and have it sent to the store where it would actually be free shipping. This is business fraud at its absolute worst. There should be a class action suit again them and if so sign me up. Why canโ€™t the item be shipped to the store rather than to my house. I know it is because they are trying to ripoff customers for the extra money. Someone please help and stop this madness!

Baby Registry Nightmare

Wow... I cannot believe what a nightmare it was to create and manage a simple registry. Here's a summary of why it sucked: Web pages take forever to load; if you need help via contacting someone, GOOD LUCK, their chat is down (so they can work to try to enhance customer service experience), there is no email address provided, and your only option is talking on the phone (and if you're like me, you HATE talking on the phone and waiting on hold an average of 15 minutes!!); items are *out of stock*, *discontinued*, or switched to *in-store only* (can be very inconvenient for people who want to buy you a gift!!) at the drop of a hat and the web pages don't INDICATE which items are as such (you only find out later when you're revising and updating the registry, to make it an added pain in the *** everything is disorganized and not in correct order (and this cannot be remedied easily); the "easy" checklist they provide doesn't update properly, if ever, so relying on that to know if you got all the so-called "must-haves" (note: most of them are not essential) is futile; items/products from their company tend to be pricey for what they are; etc. etc. etc.!!!! Even deleting a registry is a ridiculous experience because when you finally do find the right "help" page/section, it isn't specific enough to guide you to where you can delete it (and again, good luck trying to call their customer service line). If you want a POSITIVE registry experience, I URGE you to try BabyList! Babies 'R' Us will only suck hours and hours out of your life needlessly, whereas BabyList is intuitive/helpful/convenient/quick!

Terrible customer service by manager

I shop at Babies R Us and spend a lot of money there. The last few times there a manager, Kaity Cruz, of your Wilkes Barre, PA store was very rude. I said excuse me to ask her a question and she gave me a dirty look and kept on walking. From my observances she is also rude to the employees there. I also talked to other people who shop there and found they had similar experiences with this โ€œmanagerโ€. I donโ€™t know how she gained this position with her personality but shouldnโ€™t have. I will not shop in this store as long as she is working there! Please respond in writing to me with your findings. Thank you

Never expected an expired baby lotion please be careful

Waste of time and money

When we came into the store today we had $250 in birthday gift cards for my son. As we walked in the door we saw that there was a sign saying that gift card would not work. Just to clarify we went in and asked a girl who work there if that meant that we could not shop with gift cards. Her exact words were that the system Was only not working if you were getting a store credit card or if you needed a gift card issued. We even clarified once more to make sure we would be able to use the gift cards we had. We walked around for about an hour shopping. After everything was wrung up, The cashier tells us that the gift cards are not working. We told her what the other girl told us when we came in and that we just spent an hour shopping. Needless to say we were pretty angry. Walking around a store with a one year old on our day off can come with it's own stresses. Not to mention your store is a thirty minute drive away. Obviously, not a convenient location. The manager was not much help either. She wasn't sure if we would be able to use our credit card now and then call and get it figured out over the phone or if we would have to drive back again some other time to use the gift cards in order to put it back onto my credit card. I absolutely did not want to put this purchase on my credit card but seeing that we had just spent an hour driving and an hour in your store after someone told us we were able to shop there, we were not going to leave without everything that we shopped for. Now we will probably have to drive another hour when we have the time to get these cards refunded to my credit card. This is honestly outrageous. Something should have been done for our inconveniences and the ignorance of their employees.

Babies R Us offers nothing but grief

On 8/22/17 I placed an online order for a crib with an attached changing table on Babies R Us for in store pick-up, as a ship to home option did not exist. On 8/26/17 I received an email notifying me the product was ready for pick-up. On the morning of 9/3/17, that's EIGHT DAYS later, I received an email that my order was cancelled. I called customer service as I was actually going to pick-up the crib that afternoon. I had to organize some family members to come help as the item is heavy and bulky so I needed someone with a bigger car to help. Basically, I rearranged my, and several members of my family, Labor Day weekend to make this pick-up happen. Here's what customer service said and did for me which is downright pitiful. After approximately 35 wasted minutes, it turns out there was an "inventory discrepancy" and the store never had to the crib ready for pick-up. The product is going out of stock and I quote the manager I was speaking to, "I don't know why it's still available for sale online as this would almost certainly happen again if ordered for pick-up at another location". So, they can't ship to me, they can't ship to another store, and when I said we specifically ordered when Babies R Us was having a 20% off cribs that are $399 or more sale, I was told if I called them back they could offer me the same discount on another crib IF it was $399 or less. To sum up, Babies R Us totally screwed up. It is completely unacceptable to take over a week to figure out your own inventory. If we had gone to pick-up on any of the seven previous days, we'd have gotten to the store and been told the product isn't there. I, the customer, got an "I'm sorry" and a possibility to perhaps use a coupon if I stayed under a certain price. Babies R Us caused me and my family a lot of grief and offered nothing in return. I got a crib yesterday, but sure as *** didn't give my business to Babies R Us. This experience has left sick a sour taste in my mouth. I will never use Babies R Us for another registry and will discourage my large family and extensive number of friends, who are all at the age of having children, to shop elsewhere.

I ordered a convertible car seat over 2 weeks ago and it still hasn't shipped the the worst part is that it doesn't have a tracking number and you can't speak to anyone about the order. I will never never ever order from babiesrus ever again

Disgusted at stores not honoring their claims

Visited Babies r us, in College Point,NY. On Sept.6, 2017. They has signs everywhere indicating All Koala fashion and accessories 3O% off yet they were not scanning correctly. One employee took one sign off and told us to take to register. We did, then the verbal nonsense started between two employees( one claiming to be supervisor but wearing no indication that she was). First they said our items were not Koala, they were. Next they said only sets, yet Koala had no sets. Then they said boutique items, Koala has no identifiable items in a boutique group. Then they said the accessories we had were not from a certain section. Accessories are ALL in one section. This is why a 15.00 minimum is a joke.These people had no clue and failed to realize that stores must honor their advertisements or it's called ' false advertisement' and reportable to consumer affairs . I am waiting for a call from their regional manager since no one in that store had any clue about anything!!! I hVe pjcs of the signs and receipt. The maybe supervisor was a Vanessa.

No refund yet!!!!

I cancelled an order last week as i am living in Ireland and the address i imputed was in usa. I have a cancellation number but i received an email saying that my order has been shipped!! I haven't received an email of my refund!!!
